2. Data we process

Depending on how you use our site, we process in particular:

• contact and identification details such as name, address, email and phone number;
• vehicle and registered keeper details such as make, model, first registration, Swiss vehicle master number, type approval, VIN and desired price;
• uploaded registration documents, vehicle photographs and information contained in them;
• messages and contact preferences;
• technical data such as IP address, time, pages viewed, browser and device information, and security logs.

3. Purposes

We process personal data to review and answer purchase enquiries, prepare quotes, arrange appointments and services, communicate with customers and prospective customers, prevent misuse and security incidents, comply with legal duties and operate the website reliably.

4. Purchase enquiries, documents and images

Information and uploaded documents and images are securely transmitted to our systems and stored to assess the vehicle. Access is limited to authorised Due-G Automobile staff and technically necessary service providers.

Automatic recognition of the registration document takes place in your browser. The photo is prepared and recognisable vehicle details are copied into the form. Please check them before submitting. There is no automated binding valuation or contractual decision.

5. Grounds for processing

We process data to prepare and perform contracts, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in a secure and functioning business, and, where required, on the basis of consent.

6. Recipients and processors

We may share personal data with providers where necessary for hosting, storage, IT security, communication or handling an enquiry. They include OpenAI's hosting and platform infrastructure and technical hosting and network providers, including Cloudflare. Providers may process data only for the services they supply.

We do not sell personal data or share it for third parties' own advertising.

7. Processing abroad

Technical providers may process data in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the United States or other countries. Where a recipient country does not offer a legally recognised adequate level of protection, transfers rely in particular on suitable contractual safeguards or a legal exception.

8. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for its purpose, handling enquiries and contracts, bringing or defending claims, and meeting legal retention duties. We then delete or anonymise it unless another obligation or overriding interest requires retention.

9. Technical logs and local storage

Necessary connection and log data are processed when the site is accessed. A functional session record in your browser controls the windscreen notice. The protected administration area uses necessary authentication data. We currently use no first-party analytics or advertising trackers.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures against loss, unauthorised access, changes and unlawful disclosure. Website traffic is encrypted, but absolute protection for data sent over the internet cannot be guaranteed.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, delivery or transfer of certain data, deletion or restriction of processing. You may withdraw consent for the future by writing to info@due-gautomobile.ch. We may request proof of identity to prevent misuse.
